Functions

This unit bundles student expectations that address the exploration of data and their representations and relationships. The exploration of functions through data collection and analysis is a foundation for algebraic reasoning and is introduced at the beginning of Algebra 2.

Parent Functions

Students will be introduced to some of the parent functions that will be discussed in algebra 2.

 Cartisian Coordinate Plane 

Students will learn about the Cartesian Coordinate Plane.

Algebra Vocabulary

Students will learn some vocabulary used in algebra.

   Function Notation   

Students will learn how to work with function notation.

Horizontal Line Test

Students will determine if a functions inverse is also a function using the horizontal line test.

Inverses
